George Raymond Wagner is an American professional wrestler known by his name in the “Wonderful George” ring. In the United States during the First Golden Age of professional wrestling in 1940-50, Wonderful George was one of the biggest stars in sports, attracting media attention with his outrageous character, who was described as bright and charismatic. He was posthumously inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2002 and the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2010 class.
